Hygge Downtown Minneapolis Wedding

November 30th, 2018 Kelsey and Pamir tied the knot in a cozy and intimate ceremony at the Hewing Hotel in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Let's take it back a little - Kelsey and Pamir met me for coffee where we discussed what they had in mind for their big day. They were going for a Gatsby theme. They also wanted their beloved pup to walk down the aisle as well.

As we progressed and got closer to the big day, there were a few bumps in the road - Kelsey's dress had an alterations issue, her mom's dress was the wrong size, and it was only a few days until the wedding. Friday had finally arrived and it was time to go set up for Kelsey and Pamir's big day! As we set up the space for the ceremony, Kelsey and Pamir got ready upstairs in beautiful and unique hotel rooms. Kelsey's dress was fixed and looked absolutely stunning. Her mom found a beautiful dress as well. The first look was held on the rooftop of the Hewing Hotel and I can't get over how amazing it turned out.

As they were out taking photos in Minneapolis that day, they got a surprise as they ran into Nick Swardson and he crashed some wedding pictures! How awesome is that!?

The ceremony was illuminated with lots candle light, giving it such a warm and cozy vibe. A copper pipe arch with burgundy drapery and a large floral piece was the focal point at the end of the aisle. The wedding party walked down the aisle to an instrumental of 'Hometown Glory' by Adele. Shawna Orwall was the officiant and delivered an amazing story about these two who were now becoming one. They did the signing of the marriage certificate in the ceremony so it was a special moment between them and all of their loved ones and Kelsey and Pamir celebrated with champagne. The recessional was accompanied by 'Home' by The Magnetic Zeros and it was the perfect combination of happy celebration and cozy, real, hygge love.

While the guests enjoyed a social hour in the hotel lobby and bar area, we started flipping the ceremony space to become the dinner and reception space. Each table had a large floral centerpiece with colors that tied in perfectly to the deep colors of winter and a Gatsby theme.

The dinner was again filled with dim candle light giving it a very warm and intimate feel. Donuts were a smashing hit for the dessert, along with some Turkish candy - which was like cotton candy but not as fluffy and tasted more like a cookie or teddy graham - they were delicious! There was even a little dessert to take home for your dog, as this was a good way for Kelsey and Pamir to include their dogs in their special day!

Kelsey and Pamir's wedding day was nothing short of absolutely amazing. The uniqueness and coziness will bring all the guests that warm feeling when they remember this special day.
